Bridgend Capital Advisory launches new Natural Resources CFO Forum

Bridgend Capital Advisory has launched a new quarterly Natural Resources financing forum for Chief Financial Officers and Treasurers within the Natural Resources industry.

The inaugural breakfast event was held at Brisbane’s historic Tattersall’s Club on 17 May 2023 and brought together representatives from across base metals, coal mining and infrastructure companies. The event featured keynote presentations from Wood Mackenzie’s Vice President Metals and Mining, Robin Griffin, and Bridgend’s own Chris Williams.

Griffin presented his latest insights on the challenges and opportunities of energy transition for metals, including the extraordinary pressure on metals supply arising from emission reduction trajectories and need for rapid acceleration in mining capital investment.

Williams provided a primer and update on bond markets and explored the history of Australian mining companies accessing bond markets and the use of project bonds and corporate bonds for mining project development.

“A key priority for Bridgend is bringing people together and creating opportunities for sharing insights relevant to finance executives in the Natural Resources industry,” explained Nick Rees, Co-Founder of Bridgend. “This new quarterly financing forum is a great way to do this.”

The next forum will be held in August 2023. If you would like to learn more about this event series, contact Bridgend at contact@bridgend.com.au.
